Privacy policy

Last updated: 11 May 2026

Who this applies to

This policy explains how Palthera handles personal information when you browse the site, acknowledge research-use-only access gates, or subscribe to email updates. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].

Information we collect

Most pages can be browsed without submitting personal information. If you subscribe to updates, the newsletter form collects your email address, optional name, research-use-only acknowledgement, page URL, referrer, source label, UTM campaign fields where present, and submission timestamp.

The restricted research access gate stores an acknowledgement timestamp in your browser localStorage for 30 days. This remains on your device and is used only to avoid repeating the acknowledgement step on each visit.

How we use information

Newsletter information is used to send occasional Palthera research updates, send a welcome email, notify the Palthera team of new signups, maintain unsubscribe handling, and understand which site pages generated signups.

We do not use newsletter information to provide medical advice, infer health status, make automated decisions, sell personal data, or rent/share the list for third-party marketing.

Service providers

The newsletter form is processed through a Cloudflare Worker and email is sent through Resend using the updates.palthera.com sending domain. These providers process information only as needed to operate the newsletter and related delivery/security infrastructure.

Retention and unsubscribe

Newsletter details are retained while you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward where needed for unsubscribe, delivery, security, or compliance records. You can unsubscribe through the link in each email or by emailing [email protected].

Your choices

You can request access, correction, deletion, or unsubscribe support by contacting [email protected]. You can also clear localStorage in your browser to remove the local research-use-only acknowledgement timestamp.

Future changes

If account features, purchase flows, analytics, advertising pixels, or additional email tooling are added, this policy should be updated before those features go live.
